Emergency remote teaching evaluation of the higher education in Indonesia

The present study introduces the qualitative and quantitative results obtained in a pilot of emergency remote teaching (ERT) evaluation Indonesian higher education. In particular, this aims to provide basic principles for future ERT implementation. Seven universities Indonesia were involved first phase study, aiming obtain initial information regarding relevance, content validity, readability fundamental ERT. second assess quality scale using confirmatory composite analysis (CCA) procedure, involving 2,957 undergraduate students from 22 ten provinces Indonesia. seem indicate that can be viewed as 1) complementary tool design covering five including simplicity, accessibility, affordability, flexibility, empathy; 2) education, affordability flexibility are two rated lowest based on students' experiences. lack access fast, affordable, reliable Internet connection some areas is problem implementing This result likely case other developing countries with similar geographical characteristics. findings practical experience - showing learning crisis dynamic open revision socio-economic considerations, technological infrastructure, 'and teachers' readiness.
